AUC 0.7.4 is now available. This is mostly a bug fix release with only minor feature additions. Anyone using 0.7.3 should upgrade to get the stability improvements. The main additions include a Japanese translation and improved handling of foreign character sets in email and on normal pages. See the Download Page for details.

AUC 0.7.3 is available. The most significant change is the addition of dropbox support in the file manager. This allows instructors to create a turn-in bin for student assignments. In addition, libxml2 is no longer required for AUC (it's packaged internally). Finally, in addition to numerous bug fixes and translation updates, AUC should compile and install more easily on modern redhat 7.x and glibc 2 systems. Check out the Download Page for info.

AUC 0.7.2 is now released. This is mostly a bug fix release from 0.7.1 and is definitely the most stable version of AUC released to date. For those of you awaiting new features, you can expect them in the next release of AUC (assuming 0.7.2 has no show stoppers). Check out the Download Page for info.

I have added the AUC Translation Guide to the documentation. It describes how to start and maintain a translation of AUC to a language other than English. Anyone who has already worked on a translation should also read this for some important tips.

AUC is now in CVS. You may retrieve the latest development sources using the instructions on the Download page. Since version 0.7.1 I have made numerous bug fixes, and I plan to release 0.7.2 shortly.

AUC version 0.7.1 is now available. This is a bugfix release. Those users who upgraded from 0.6.x to 0.7.0 should definitely get 0.7.1 to fix some stability issues. Also, any users who installed 0.7.0 from the RPM should upgrade.

Version 0.7.0 is here! Notable additions include web-based site configuration, much easier installation, increased flexibility to adapt to your organization, binary RPMS, persistent IMAP connections, French and Spanish translations, and much more. Also, a new release of the sample plugin is available with the updated API. Go to the download page to get the new release. The preview page has been updated with the remaining items still on my todo list.

Version 0.6.2 is available now, with support for sending email attachments and a number of user interface enhancements. Overall, it's much prettier now. Fetch it from the Download Page.

I have added a plugins section to the Download Page. There is only one plugin available that demonstrates the AUC API. If you are interested in adding additional functions to AUC, take a look at the sample plugin.

The AUC demo in the "Getting Started" section may not work all the time. The MySQL server at SourceForge is doing strange things, causing the demo to behave erratically or fail alltogether.

I have just uploaded version 0.6.1, with much increased flexibility and numerous bug fixes. Please go to the Download Page to get it. I recommend that anyone using version 0.6.0 should upgrade, as there are a lot of improvements. Please use the mailing list to discuss any bugs or suggestions.

This site is now hosted at Sourceforge.net to allow better maintence and nicer development tools such as mailing lists, forums, CVS, and bug tracking. For those of you waiting for a new release, I expect to release a new version of AUC before the end of the year. See the Preview Page for more info. Also, if you want to stay up to date on things, please add yourself to the mailing list.

Version 0.5.1 of AUC is now available at the Download Page, fixing some installation bugs present in version 0.5.
